Advent 2015

This year we did something a little different for Advent.  Sonrise (Emmy's church) did something called as "The Christmas Experience."  Each week we were given a word for the week and challenges to help us dig deeper.   We learned the reason it is called Christmas, why we decorate Christmas trees, Who St. Nicholas was, and what Emanuel means.

Guys Day

Hudson got to take a special adventure with Dad and Uncle Chris.  They got to tour the Notre Dame football field and basketball arena.  As Huddy left he said, "When I get big, big I'm going to play there!"  Dream big Huddy, dream big!

Fall Family Fun

Uncle David and Aunt DG invited us for a fun fall day in Indy.  Uncle David wanted to show us the big library in Indy in honor of our finishing our big tour of the Allen County libraries.  We met up at the library and began our day.

While we are at the library they were having a special performance from the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra for kids.

After the library we headed to Uncle David's office for lunch and playing.  We didn't take any pictures but we made lots of memories.  Then we headed to the Apple Orchard to pick apples and have hot cider.

We ended the day with dinner and lounging around Uncle David and Aunt DG's place and then heading home.

Run Chris, Run!

We cheered Uncle Chris on as he completed the Fort 4 Fitness 10K.  Huddy was very concentrated on looking for Uncle Chris on the field and he was the first one to spot him.

Hudy turned 2!

Fire truck, Fire truck, I like to ride on my fire truck!  Hudy loves fire trucks and so his  birthday party theme was a no brainer.  The best part of the party was when the firefighters showed up with the fire engine outside our house!

23 months

Our last month of the 1s brought a Spring Break trip to Hilton Head.  Hudson is a great traveler.  His only complaints were that he did not like the pool and he really wanted his own bed to sleep in.  He did however look awfully "studly" in his spring clothes.

Huddy has found a new found love for music.  He loves to listen to music, sing music and play music.  His concert list includes: Jesus Loves Me, My Father's House, Away in a Manger, Oh He Loves Me, and Blessed Assurance.  I am no vocalist but he may a little melody when he sings.

Hudson loves BOOKS!  We have had to start putting books in the car because he is always requesting a book to read.  He loves to have books read to him or to read them on his own.  His favorite book is "Red Truck."

21 months

You can't tell from this photo but Hudson talks ALL the time.  He talks from the moment he wakes up until the moment he falls as sleep.  He often starts the morning by saying, "Good morning!  I'm in here!"  He says this repeatedly until someone gets him out of bed.  At times you can not quite understand what he is saying but that doesn't stop him he still talks.  I must say he does have quite the cute voice.
